Spoon Carving Workshop - Carve a spoon from a log - January 19th - 10:00-17:00
This class will run on Sunday January 19th - 10:00-17:00
Come and learn how to carve a spoon at this hands-on workshop. Starting with a log and using spoon carving knives and an axe you will carve your very own spoon from start to finish, guided by Nick.
The class will cover safety, knife grips and of course the carving of a spoon. You’ll leave with a functional spoon and the knowledge and assurance in your ability to continue carving on your own once you’ve left. Immerse yourself in the creative process, working with natural materials to transform a simple piece of wood into your own unique spoon. Spoon carving is a great hobby as it can be done almost anywhere—the kit is small and the mess is beautiful!
All tools and wood will be provided and you’ll take home your very own handmade spoon.
Please bring a packed lunch, coffee/tea and biscuits provided. Please bring warm layers as the studio is not heated.
Perfect for beginners! Makes a great gift for mothers or fathers day, Christmas or a special birthday.
